Ding Dong Burglar in your home

Crime is always on the rise and home security has never been more important. Your home is at risk all the time but there is a rise in crime during hotter days as people become more and more careless with their home security. It is unbelievable that people still leave a spare key under the doormat or above the doorframe or even under a plant next to the front door. Thieves do check these obvious places for keys and if one actually saw get a key this way you can guarantee they will be round for a visit the next time you leave you home.

It’s a hot day and like millions of people you open a few windows but make sure you close them before you go out. Even if you think you will only be five minutes think about how much a thief could steel in that time. The last thing you want to do is return and find someone in you home.

It’s amazing what garden furniture and gardening equipment costs if you were to add it all up you will be surprised at what the replacement costs would be. Don’t leave it in plain site try and move it behind a wall or bushes. Make sure gardening tools are locked away as these could be used to break-in to your home.

A simple door entry announcement system would provide a simple and very cheap alarm system. These come in two types one is connected to the door and every time the door is opened the connection is broken and the alarm goes off. Slightly more expensive is a chime with a build in motion detector, which I believe is the better option of the two.

Rather than be bothered by the kids going in and out for drinks you could put a motion sensor just outside the kitchen so if anyone went any further into your home you would know. The battery motion sensor offers greater flexibility as you can position it at patio doors or in a hallway.

Buy buying one or more of these simple mini alarms with motion sensors you can quickly set them up and improve the safety of your home. Most can be set to chime so you know someone has gone past or you can set this to continuous alarm so you know someone is somewhere you don’t want them to be including the children.

The mini motion sensor is a great security device to take on holiday with you. You can point it at the door or next to patio doors to make sure you are not broken into whilst asleep. Nobody wants to wake up with an intruder in their bedroom.

Don’t give a thief a chance, remember most crime is of an opportunistic type and if you don’t give them the opportunity then you are less likely to be a victim. Crime prevention is the best option so contact your local police department for further advice.

Most people are unsure whether or not they need home security. For sure, everyone wants to feel safe. If you are in a neighborhood with high crime rates and you want to feel safer in your own home, then a home security system may be the best choice for you.

Basic Home security

Home security has become a booming business. Some of the better security companies rake in millions of dollars each year protecting people’s homes from break-ins, robberies, burglaries and even fires. As a service, they will come to your home and evaluate your security needs and make recommendations on what would be a good system for your home.

Once you get an evaluation of your home by a home security company, you may realize that you will not have quite as much protection as they have suggested. If this is the case, you can put together your own home security system that focuses on specific problems with security that your home has. This way, you will get the protection that you need without the high price of getting a full service from a security company.

Are you really a potential victim to crime? An easy step would be to thoroughly go around the outside of your home and do a careful investigation. Are there any areas where a criminal might easily break in? Doing another investigation at night, are there any areas that are extremely dark? These areas that are very dark could give a criminal extra cover he could use to nearer to your house without being seen. You could eliminate the problem by installing motion sensor lights to illuminate the areas. This would also make it safer for you at night when walking from your car to your house while avoiding any unnecessary surprises.

Home security is important to consider when owning your home today. No doubt you would do anything to protect your family. Many people feel that their family has that protection when they have a good home security system, either one from a security company or one that you have installed yourself. It does not have to be overly expensive to get a security system, and it does not have to be too complicated. Basic security systems can give you the comfort you need and allow you to have fun and enjoy life in your own home.
